How does Reiki healing treat illness?

How does Reiki healing treat illness?

 1. How Do Diseases Occur?

The reason behind a person's health or illness lies in the flow of Ki (energy) within them, rather than the functional state of their organs and tissues. When a person’s Ki flows freely, it creates a condition of health. However, if this flow is restricted, it negatively affects the other organs and tissues in the body, leading to illness. Therefore, the disruption of Ki flow is the primary cause of disease.

2. The

Relationship Between Emotions and Illness

An important property of Ki is that it responds to a person’s thoughts and emotions. The flow of Ki can be intensified or weakened depending on the quality of these thoughts and emotions. It is our negative thoughts and emotions that are the main causes of restricted Ki flow. Any negative or disharmonious thoughts or emotions will lead to an interruption in the flow of Ki. Even Western medicine recognizes the role of the mind in creating diseases, with some Western doctors suggesting that up to 98% of illnesses are directly or indirectly caused by the mind.

The mind does not only reside in the brain but throughout the entire body. The nervous system extends to every organ and tissue in the body, so the mind exists there as well. It is also known that the mind extends beyond the physical body into a subtle energy field about 2 to 3 feet thick, known as the aura. Therefore, our negative thoughts not only reside in the brain but also gather in various parts of the body and aura. Wherever these negative thoughts and emotions accumulate, the flow of Ki is restricted. The function of the physiological organs present in those areas is then compromised. If these negative thoughts and emotions are not quickly eliminated, they will lead to disease.

3. Healing Diseases with Reiki

The biggest challenge comes from the negative thoughts and feelings embedded in our subconscious mind and body, as we are often unaware of them, making it difficult to change or clear them.

The greatest value of Reiki lies in its guidance by a higher intelligence, which knows exactly where to go for healing and how to address the restrictions in Ki flow. Reiki can work directly on the unconscious parts of the mind/body, which hold these negative, Ki-inhibiting thoughts and emotions, and eliminate them. As Reiki flows through the diseased or unhealthy areas, it breaks down and washes away any negative thoughts or emotions within the subconscious mind and body, thereby restoring normal, healthy Ki flow. When this occurs, the unhealthy organs and tissues receive proper nourishment from Ki and begin to function in a balanced, healthy way, replacing illness with health.

This non-invasive, entirely benign healing technique is gaining popularity. As Western medicine continues to explore alternative methods of treatment, Reiki is poised to play an important role as an accepted and valuable healing practice.

4. The treatment process

(1) Energy Channeling: A Reiki practitioner channels energy by placing their hands slightly above or gently on the patient's body. This energy, known as "Ki" or "life force energy," naturally flows to the areas of the body that require healing.

(2) Removing Blockages: As Ki flows into the patient's body, it identifies areas where the energy flow is blocked due to negative emotions, stress, or illness. The role of Ki is to remove these blockages and restore the free flow of energy.

(3) Balancing Energy: Ki not only removes blockages but also helps balance the overall energy in the body, promoting both physical and mental well-being.

(4) Promoting Self-Healing: By restoring and enhancing the body's energy flow, Reiki therapy promotes the body's self-healing process. Whether it's relieving stress, easing pain, or treating chronic illnesses, Reiki can provide support.
